Missions
Working as part of a team and in an interdisciplinary environment, the role of a care assistant is to support people in their daily lives.
– Preparing meals, running errands, cleaning and tidying the house and doing the laundry
– Assisting with getting up, personal hygiene, accompanying patients to administrative appointments or medical appointments.
– Providing moral support to combat social isolation and support for family carers
– Provide educational support.
– Advise, suggest and organise the environment for the person's safety and comfort.
– Stimulate the person's potential so that they remain in control of their daily life.
– Integrate into a team in a spirit of mutual support and solidarity under the supervision of the social worker.
– Collaborate and relay all relevant information within your team and to your social worker, with the aim of ensuring continuity, consistency and quality of the assistance provided to beneficiaries.
– Engage in ongoing collaboration with all ASD departments and internal stakeholders with the same objective in mind.
Profile
– Must hold one of the following qualifications: Family Support Worker, Family and Health Care Assistant, Nursing Assistant (long course), Multipurpose Home and Community Care Assistant, Childcare Worker, Nursing Assistant, Childcare Assistant, Early Childhood Education (A1 or A2 educator qualifications are not valid), Geriatric Care Assistant, Children's Community Instructor.
– Must have a category B driving licence and a personal vehicle
– Living in the district of Verviers
– Ability to work independently and professionally while taking initiative
– Demonstrate flexibility, organisational skills and a good ability to adapt
– Ability to work in a team
– Collaborate with other home care providers to ensure comprehensive, consistent and high-quality support.
– Demonstrate good interpersonal skills but also discretion when necessary.
– Comply with administrative instructions and safety standards
– Comply with the ethical rules specific to the profession
Offer
– Fixed-term contract with a view to a permanent contract
– Possible working hours: 20 hours, 24 hours, 28 hours, 32 hours, 36 hours or 38 hours per week
