Missions
Working as part of a team and in an interdisciplinary environment, the role of a care assistant is to support people in their daily lives.
- Prepare meals, do the shopping, maintain and tidy the house and linen
- Help with getting out of bed, toileting, administrative tasks and medical appointments.
- Providing moral support to combat social isolation and support for close carers
- Providing educational support by advising, suggesting and organising the environment to ensure the person's safety and comfort.
- Stimulating the person's potential so that they remain involved in their day-to-day life.
- Support families in their educational role.
- Assistance with administrative formalities.
- Pay constant attention to apparent signs of deterioration in the beneficiary's health and medical situation.
Profile
- You must have one of the following qualifications: Aide Familiale, Auxiliaire Familiale et Sanitaire, Aide-Soignant (long cycle), Auxiliaire Polyvalente des services à domicile et en collectivité, Puériculteur, Aspirant en Nursing, Auxiliaire à l'enfance, Education à l'enfance (Le diplôme d'éducateur A1 ou A2 n'est pas valable.), Assistant en gériatrie, Moniteur pour collectivités d'enfants.
- Must have a B driving licence and a private vehicle
- Living in the Verviers district
- Ability to work autonomously and professionally while taking initiative
- Flexibility, organisation and adaptability
- Knowing how to work in a team
- Working with other homecare providers to ensure consistent, high-quality, cross-disciplinary support
- Demonstrate good interpersonal skills but also discretion when necessary
- Comply with administrative instructions and safety standards
- Respect the rules of ethics specific to the profession
Offer
- Fixed-term contract for a minimum of 3 months (renewable) - working hours to be defined - with daytime/evening/weekend work.
